Frank I can't say it any better then you just did. My wife is from Ban Chiang too. Her mother is a retired Teacher and still lives there. (Great family) Ban Chiang is a good safe place to live. There are some Falang that live in Udon (Amper Muang) but about 60% are dead-beats. You won't want them around your wife or her family. Well GOOD LUCK with your new wife and life. I am moving to Udon in Feb '09 to marry my lady rice farmer in Ban Chiang Pin. Maybe see you there one day when you come back to visit! i use to be like you.i met him on internet and we are married for 5 yrs now. our love stronger than ever. i hate some faranges who so jealous,loser and said about thai girls in bad way well if u think about it usa, europe or australia the face some girls just go out to the nightclub and sleep with the man who they just met..do what you believe.some thai girl are nice , depend on where you meet them :) anyway .. i happy for you guy .. well done!!! you are lovely couple.
